What do you feel when you see the famed half-eaten Apple logo? Do you find yourself painting? Composing poetry? Starting a rock band? No? Well, according to a study in next month’s Journal of Consumer Research, you should.
Why? Because apparently, the Apple logo — even subliminally — makes people more creative. Which is why we spent three hours staring blankly at an Apple ad before writing this blog and now, well, we can all agree that this is the War and Peace of bloggery.

Acer announced their sexy new laptop called the Aspire Gemstone Blue and yes, it blue us away. Oh, puns, how we love thee!
The beautiful blue notebook is equipped with everything from a Blu-ray drive to a true high-definition screen to an airplane engine that can fly you and your friends anywhere your imagination wants to go,and while that last part isn’t true, we’ll still settle for the Blu-ray drive and the HD screen.

Have you ever dreamed of having an x-ray camera that, instead of revealing the beautiful nakedness of the person you target, reveals if they’re packing a glock? No? Well, the British company ThruVision made it anyway.
The camera is called the T5000 (yes, it also doubles as an upgraded version of the killer robot sent from the future to kill John Connor) and can detect weapons, drugs and explosives hidden under people’s clothes from as far as 25 meters away. The chief problem? Well, it doesn’t reveal the beautiful nakedness of the person you target.

There have been complaints by many in the business sector about the iPhone being all flash and no use — well, Apple wants to change that. The company announced today that it’s aiming for the iPhone to become a corporate email gadget and a portable video game machine for the busy and bored businessman.
The company has even teamed up with a venture capital firm to offer $100 million for developers who can come up with some nifty iPhone applications. The strategy is also known as, "do our work for us" — a common trend in companies who have realized that paying the general public less money to do their job is much easier than actually doing their job.

The bad thing about technology is when some of it breaks, it breaks in a big way. Having huge oil tankers sink in oceans, for example, is never a good way to co-exist with nature. The good thing about technology is that it’s developing so fast that when a problem is discovered, there are thirty different futuristic solutions for it.
Which is where the OSP comes in. What is the OSP? The OSP is a robot that cleans up oil spills. It’s like a Roomba that eats black gold.

Have you ever forgotten where you left your glasses and then realized how hard it was to find your glasses without being able to see? And then you end up spending half your day searching in every nook and cranny, even ones that don’t make any sense (maybe they’re under this plate!) until you give in, buy a new pair, and find the old pair shortly after?
Well, kiss those days goodbye with the University of Tokyo’s newest invention — the "cyber goggles."

How, you wonder, has no one thought of it? Probably because we hate nature.

One of the best ways to protect our airports, according to Transportation Security Laboratory Director Susan Hallowell, is by creating a "Tunnel of Truth" that would scan our bodies and our minds of ill goods and thoughts. And while the thought thing is probably not true, the eerily named Tunnel of Truth is — and its Susan Hallowell’s creepy brain child.
They don’t call her the Transportation Security Laboratory Director for nothing.
