Smart Target’s Kiddo Kidkeeper Keeps Kids On Leash

Ever dream of keeping your kid on a virtual leash? Well, dream no more. Smart Target’s Kiddo Kidkeeper Proximity alarm ensures that not only will your child never ever have the sweet taste of freedom, but that, if they will, you will be immediately alerted so you can bring them back into their cell. Where, undoubtedly, they belong.

Also, for a limited time only, the Kidkeeper Proximity will also shock your child into submission if he leaves the "protected" zone that you have made for them. Are you sold yet?

kiddo_kidkeeper.jpgSmart Target’s Kiddo Kidkeeper Proximity alarm works like this. Your child will wear a wireless transmitter — and you, the parent, will wear a wireless transmitter receiver. The parent can then pre-set range for the child, allowing them to roam within a certain amount of feet or miles from the parent. If the child leaves the perimeter, the transmitter will trigger an audible alarm to the parent’s receiver, something akin to shouting, "Your child has escaped! Your child has escaped!"

The device offers two range settings of 13 and 26 feet and can monitor up to four kids at once. The most hilarious feature is the fact that the device is waterproof — in case your child goes 13 or 26 feet away from you, into what we can only imagine would be some sort of underwater dolphin paradise.

No price tag available for this device yet, but we’re willing to bet it’ll be somewhere in the $150 area. Honestly, we liked this gadget more when it was free and it was called "good parenting."

You’ll be able to buy the Kiddo here.
