LG’s KF750 Touchscreen Phone Slides and Looks Sexy

It’s not news that LG is releasing a new line of sexy cell phones (yes, they’re all going to try to be ’iPhone killers’ — and no, probably none of them will succeed) called the KF line. While we’ll have to wait for next week’s CeBIT show to really get all the details, we have wrangled some for the KF750 — codenamed, "Libra."

This is a good first step — as we fully support and celebrate Libras.

lg-kf750-2.jpgThe KF750 phone is not only a touchscreen phone, it’s also a slider phone, finally combining two functions that don’t really need to be combined.

The Libra also has a very powerful (as far as phones are concerned) 5 megapixel camera, a VGA cam that lets you do video calls and 160MB of internal memory (along with a microSD card slot.)

As you can probably tell from the picture, the phone doesn’t use a QWERTY key pad, so the question is, are they going to go the iPhone route and have a tiny, cramped, awful touchscreen keypad, or just get rid of that function altogether?

While we like the fancy camera and admittedly, the phone is very sexy, we’re still liking the iPhone more — and we’re not even huge fans of the iPhone, so here’s hoping the other cellphones in the line are better. All we know so far as that the KF240 is a music phone with a 2 MP camera and the KF300 can fire lasers (no, not really.)

We’ll keep you updated as we know more. In the meantime, you can check out the LG site.
